Meet the Team:
Carissa Kapperman MS, RDN, LMNT
Owner | Registered Dietitian Nutritionist | Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist
My career as a dietitian has taken me from hospitals to bariatric clinics to long-term care, but the most rewarding part has always been building real relationships and helping people create lasting, meaningful change.
I founded Bite for Bite Nutrition to provide clients with a realistic, personalized approach to health - one that avoids fad diets and rigid food lists. Instead, we focus on small, doable changes that actually fit your life and lead to results you can sustain.
I love working with those managing chronic health issues, couples navigating different diagnoses together, and busy parents trying to feed their families without the overwhelm. No matter your starting point, I’ll meet you where you are and help you take the next step toward better health.
Outside of work, I’m a mom of two who loves camping, hiking, gardening, and chasing our dogs and chickens. I understand the juggle of family, work, and self-care - and I’m here to help you find a healthy balance, one bite at a time.
Josiah Cuckler, RD
Registered Dietitian I Sports & Performance
Hi, I’m Josiah! For the past five years I have worked primarily in clinical nutrition, and I am now thrilled to bring that experience to Bite for Bite Nutrition. Here, I can combine the precision of clinical practice with my passion for sports performance to help athletes unlock their full potential.
I know firsthand how much time, energy, and heart athletes put into their training, and I believe nutrition should fuel that passion rather than hold it back. That is why I am grateful to join Bite for Bite Nutrition as the Sports Performance Registered Dietitian. My goal is to meet athletes where they are, understand their unique challenges, and provide practical, personalized strategies that help them feel stronger, recover faster, and perform at their best.
With evidence-based guidance, my focus is on providing proven practical strategies that help athletes grow. No matter where you are in your fitness and nutrition journey, there is always something to learn and new ways to improve. I build individualized approaches that prioritize what works best for each person without relying on one-size-fits-all plans or fad fixes.
My main desire is to help athletes determine what, when, and how to eat before, during, and after training and competition in order to maximize energy, performance, and adaptation. I also recognize that nutrition is only one part of the puzzle. Sleep, hydration, mental stress, and lifestyle factors all play an important role, and I work with athletes to address them in order to elevate both performance and overall well-being.
Christine Sullivan, MA, RD, RDN
Registered Dietitian I Pediatrics
Hi, I’m Christine Sullivan, a pediatric registered dietitian with over 10 years of experience supporting kids and the caregivers who love them. I have worked with hundreds of families in a hospital-based outpatient setting, helping children build a healthy relationship with food while supporting parents in feeling confident along the way.
I support families through a wide range of nutrition challenges, including weight concerns, picky eating, food allergies, growth challenges, tube feeding, and GI problems such as constipation, celiac disease, IBS, and more. I genuinely love providing practical, encouraging guidance that helps make everyday life a little easier at home.
As a mom of two young kids, I also bring real-life experience to the table. I use my professional knowledge to help my own children enjoy balanced meals and snacks from an early age, and I am passionate about helping other families do the same.
When I’m not working or spending time with my family, you’ll usually find me grabbing a cup of coffee from a local shop or searching for the latest gluten-free dessert to try.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Nutrition should make your life easier - not more stressful. That means no all-or-nothing rules, no guilt, and no unrealistic plans you can’t stick to. We’ll focus on what matters most to you, making gradual changes that fit your lifestyle and preferences.
We know the advice you’ve gotten in the past might have been oversimplified (“just lose weight”) or overwhelming. Our job is to cut through the noise, help you understand why we’re making specific changes, and make sure those changes are practical, sustainable, and supportive of your long-term health.
Our goal is simple: help you feel better, take control of your health, and never have to start another “program” again.
